Shaina Sadai leads study on impacts of high Antarctic ice melt

Floating snow-covered ice sheets on calm sea, with ponds of meltwater, at dawn or dusk.

PhD student Shaina Sedai is lead author on a recent paper published in Science Advances discussing simulations of dramatic climate impacts from higher Antarctic melt. With her co-authors, including alum Dr. Alan Condron (WHOI), and Dr. Rob DeConto, she predicts how future climate conditions could change under high- and low-greenhouse gas emissions scenarios, while accounting for accelerated melting of the Antarctic ice sheet.  Read more...
